About the Nissan GT-R R35 1:24
The R35 is the GT-R that dropped the Skyline name and beat Porsches at the Nürburgring in 2007 with a hand-built twin-turbo V6 and a launch control that became infamous. The model is the facelifted car with the V-motion grille and the wider front intakes, in factory-stock form rather than the wide-body build of the 1:18.
The doors open, and opening them brings up the lights and the engine sample. The bonnet lifts over the VR38 with the strut brace and the intake piping. The four round tail lights are clear red lenses. The rear axle carries a pull-back motor. The body is metal; paint on this batch is a metallic grey.
It is the R34's successor and the two look right together in the same scale, along with the wide-body R35 in 1:18 for the tuner version.
Living with a 1:24 scale model
At 1:24 the model is around 19 cm long, compact enough for a desk and big enough for the doors to open and the dashboard to be readable. This is the scale to buy if you want a few cars rather than one, and the pull-back motor and lights make it the safest choice for a young enthusiast.
