Bugatti toy cars and diecast scale models

Every modern Bugatti shares the horseshoe grille, the C-shaped side line and the two-tone split, and the models are distinguished by what each car does with them. The Chiron is the baseline. The Chiron Super Sport stretches the tail by 25 cm on the real car, which shows on the model as a longer, lower rear deck. The Divo squares off the rear with a full-width wing. The Bolide throws the road-car shape away entirely for exposed structure, an X-shaped rear light and a roof scoop. And La Voiture Noire, of which one real example exists, keeps the six exhaust tips and a rear that is almost all light bar.

On the models, the two-tone split is the difficult part: it runs along a curved swage line and has to be masked by hand. Look at the edge of the split in the product photos. Clean edges are the sign of a good batch, and we reject the ones that bleed.

For a shelf, the Bolide, because it looks like nothing else and its exposed rear is the most interesting detail at 1:24. For someone who knows the cars, La Voiture Noire in 1:18, which is the closest most people will get to a car that sold for €11 million. For a child, the Chiron: the most robust of the five and the one they will recognise from games.
