About the Toyota Land Cruiser LC200 1:24
The 200 Series is the Land Cruiser that Indian buyers know: sold here from 2009 to 2021 with a 4.5-litre diesel V8, and the car that established the model as the SUV to have if you did not want a Range Rover. This model is the late facelift with the three-bar chrome grille and the slim LED headlamps, in the tall, long-bonnet proportions of the real car.
The doors open onto a cabin with the second-row bench and the wide centre console, and the bonnet lifts over the V8. The roof rails are separate parts, the side steps are moulded under the sills, and the wheels are the 20-inch multi-spoke design on rubber tyres. Paint on this batch is pearl white, which is the colour most of them were sold in here.
It is the model for someone who owns one or grew up in the back of one. The LC300 GR Sport in 1:18 is the successor if you want both generations.
Living with a 1:24 scale model
At 1:24 the model is around 19 cm long, compact enough for a desk and big enough for the doors to open and the dashboard to be readable. This is the scale to buy if you want a few cars rather than one, and the pull-back motor and lights make it the safest choice for a young enthusiast.
