This is the Range Rover for a younger child: a scale body rather than a drift shell, at a sensible speed, with a shockproof plastic shell that takes drops and bumps without cracking. The shape is the current Range Rover with the floating roof and the slim lights, and at 1:16 it is about 28 cm long, the biggest car in the RC range.
The 2.4 GHz radio pairs to its own car, so two can run in the same room. It drives forward, backward, left and right with working headlights, and the battery charges over USB with the supplied cable; do not use another charger. The controller takes AA cells, not included.
It suits a child of five to ten. The Defender in the same scale is the companion, and the two look right together.
This is a remote control car first and a model second: the body is plastic to keep weight down and the chassis carries the battery and steering servo. It charges over USB and runs for 20 to 30 minutes per charge.
